The thickness of the insulation is chosen with the Green selector at the bottom of screen and the Innerleaf Block type and thickness with the Brown selectors on right of the display, the Internal wall finish is 12.5 mm plasterboard on dabs. The result is given in the Box at the bottom centre of your screen. The Full Fill bats are Mineral Wool with a Thermal Conductivity of 0.038 W/m.K, Phenolic boards are 'Kingspan' or 'Celotex' type Rigid with a Thermal Conductivity of 0.023 W/m.K and the Polystyrene has a value of 0.040 W/m.K To calculate the U-Values for your Timber Framed and Masonry cavity wall you can choose from Mineral Wool, Polystyrene or Phenolic Insulation with the Green selector at the top of your screen, next comes the OuterLeaf of your wall selecting from Brick, Concrete Block or Lightweight Insulation Blocks with the Brown selector near the top of the display, next you choose your stud centres with the Brown selector near the bottom right of the screen, lastly you select your insulation thickness with the Green selector along the bottom of the screen. The result is given in the box at the bottom centre of the screen. The internal wall finish is 12.5mm plasterboard and 12mm ply on the cavity side of the studs Phenolic Insulation is of the 'Kingspan' or 'Celotex' type Rigid boards with a Thermal Conductivity of 0.023 W/m.K whereas the expanded Polystyrene has a value of 0.040 W/m.K To calculate the U-Values for your Floor you enter your Floor dimensions in the 2 boxes provided in top half of screen, The Perimeter in the top box and the Area in the box just below, The Perimeter in meters is the distance all around your floor as indicated by the blue line, the Area is the Length multiplied by the Width to give Sqr Meters. You then select the type and thickness of insulation with the Green selectors at the bottom of your screen, The result is given in the box at the bottom centre of your screen. If you use Insulation Blocks below the DPC on the Inner Leaf then no edge insulation is required for the floor slab otherwise a Minimum of 30mm Phenolic insulation will be needed, Phenolic Insulation is of the 'Kingspan' or 'Celotex' type Rigid boards with a Thermal Conductivity of 0.023 W/m.K whereas the expanded Polystyrene has a value of 0.040 W/m.K
